Description

“Adventure is a path. Real adventure – self-determined, self-motivated, often risky – forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world. The world the way it is, not the way you imagine it. Your body will collide with the earth and you will bear witness. In this way you will be compelled to grapple with the limitless kindness and bottomless cruelty of humankind – and perhaps realize that you yourself are capable of both. This will change you. Nothing will ever again be black-and-white.” –Mark Jenkins

Flights are booked

Just finished reading "First they killed my father" for the third time and I can't believe I still have 107 days to wait until we board the plane! Grrr. We are flying Thai Airways via Bangkok, leaving on the 17th February and I am waiting for a professional Dutch photographer called Eric De Vries to send the draft itinerary for what is now going to be a 7-day tour of the country, starting after we return from visiting my foster son and ending with a two night stay in a luxurious (a whopping £53 per night!), spa resort hotel in Phnom Penh before flying home. Soooooo excited, but have to park it right now, as have a halloween fancy dress party to prepare for!
